Contemporary band represents the team that suggests and leads the trend that suits the current world in all areas including mysics, dance, and fashion, and like the title, contemporary band, SHINEE will present their unique and trendy music while keeping contemporary images in dance and fashion.
Also, the name of the group, SHINEE, is a coined word composed by adding the noun suffix, "ee', to the word 'Shine' and it is interpreted as the person who receives the light' or in other words, the person in the limelight, and it also harbors the great ambition of SHINEE to mesmerize a number of music fans across ages and borders with a wide variety of music.

Taufik Butuh Tiga Set untuk Kalahkan Misbun
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Taufik Hidayat membutuhkan tiga set
(2-1) untuk mengalahkan tunggal Malaysia, Misbun Ramdan Misbun pada
pertandingan ketiga Axiata Cup 2012 di Lapangan Tennis Indoor Senayan,
Jakarta, Minggu.
Taufik Hidayat yang kembali menjadi pemain pertama terlihat tenang
meski lawan langsung agresif menyerang. Bahkan pemain ranking 12 itu
sempat tertinggal enam poin diawal set pertama. Namun, menantu Agum
Gumelar itu terlihat tetap tenang. Misbun Ramdan Misbun yang jauh lebih muda berusaha terus menekan Taufik. Namun, upaya yang dilakukan sering gagal karena melakukan kesalahan sendiri sehingga dimanfaatkan Taufik. Hanya saja diset Taufik harus menyerah 15-21.
Memasuki set kedua Taufik Hidayat langsung tancap gas bahkan langsung unggul 6-0 atas Misbun Ramdan Misbun. Dominasi pemain pemain emas Olimpiade ini terus berlanjut hingga kedudukan 11-3.
Poin demi poin terus diraih meski lawan juga memberikan perlawanan. Akhirnya Taufik Hidayat mampu mengakhiri set kedua dengan 21-5, sehingga mengubah kedudukan menjadi 1-1.
Diset penentuan kedua pemain berupaya memberikan kemampuan terbaiknya. Dampaknya perolehan poin sama kuat 3-3. Taufik yang terus mendapatkan dukungan termasuk dari istrinya berusaha memberikan tekanan dan akhirnya mampu meninggalkan lawan menjadi 11-5.
Dominasi Taufik Hidayat terus berlanjut. Kondisi ini membuat seluruh penonton yang hadir terus bersorak memberikan dukungan. Pelan tapi pasti poin pun berhasil diraih. Hasilnya pemain nomor satu Indonesia itu mampu unggul 21-10 sehingga mengubah kedudukan menjadi 2-1.
Setelah Taufik, pemain kedua yang turun berbeda dengan dua pertandingan sebelumnya. Pada pertandingan ini tim ganda menurunkan Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan yang akan menghadapi Teo Ee Yi/Nelson Heg Wei Keat. Dan tunggal terakhir Sony Dwi Kuncoro melawan Iskandar Zulkarnain.
